Francis A. L'Esperance III Mr. L'Esperance is a founding partner of Agawam and directs the firm's principal investing and investment banking activities in the media industry. Over the past 25+ years, Mr. L'Esperance has worked on transactions totalling over $20 billion, for both small cap and large cap companies as both advisor and principal, particularly in the business services and traditional media sectors.
Prior to founding Agawam, Mr. L'Esperance was a Managing Director and Head of Corporate Finance at Veronis Suhler & Associates, where he spearheaded the development of a number of successful portfolio companies, including Broadcasting Partners, Triax Midwest Associates, Spectrum Communications, and Ionex Communications.
Prior to joining Veronis Suhler, Mr. L'Esperance ran media investment banking for the Americas at SBC Warburg Dillon Read (now UBS). Mr. L'Esperance began his investment banking career at Lehman Brothers, working on a broad range of media industry acquisitions and financings.
Mr. L'Esperance holds a BA from Dartmouth College and a MBA with Honors from Columbia University.
